Reza Rahdar
President

Seth Sherman, CSEP
Past President
Seth Sherman is a Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) with 17 years of experience in the Aerospace industry. He is a Lead Systems Engineer for L3Harris Agile Development Group (ADG) where he supports both conceptual and product mission system programs. In this role, he supports model-based system engineering initiatives, system architecting, and classical SE tasks. Seth has held a variety of roles during his career such as project manager, lead engineer, systems engineer, and mechanical engineer. He has fostered multiple products through the systems engineering lifecycle (requirements through FCA/PCA) for various platforms. Additionally, he has helped improve system engineering practices by establishing procedures and guidelines to achieve AS9100 certification. Seth earned a Bachelor’s in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and a Master’s degree in Systems Engineering from the University of Arizona. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and cooking.

Jennifer Key
President-Elect
Jennifer Key is a Certified Systems Engineering Professional and credentialed Lockheed Martin Qualified Architect with over 20 years of experience in Software, Systems and Design Engineering. Presently, she works at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) as a Systems Architect, in a role that allows her to focus on Product Line Engineering and Model-Based Systems Engineering, developing artifacts for the Missile Product Line. In some of her past roles, she has performed as a Modeling & Simulation Systems Engineer for Embedded Systems, ScrumMaster, Product Owner, Requirements & Architecture Team Lead and Control Account Manager. Some of her highlights include, but not limited to:
- Completed INCOSE Prep Course 2017
- Obtained Masters in Systems Engineering from SMU 2017
- Obtained INCOSE Certification 2022
- Obtained Levels I and II of Object Management Group (OMG) SysML Certifications February 2024
- Past role of NTX INCOSE Ambassador- MFC
- Currently serving as NTX INCOSE Vice President of Technical Development
She also enjoys mentoring and sharing knowledge and lessons learned with her peers. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends & volunteering in the community.

Danyel Fiet
Associate Director of Information
Danyel Fiet, CSEP, OCSMP-MU, has 17 years of experience in Systems Engineering. She is a Senior Engineering Manager at Sierra Nevada Corporation and serves at the MBSE Advisory Board Chair for SNC. Throughout her career Danyel has had many roles and experiences on a variety of programs. Experience in project engineering, systems engineering, project leads, management, test and integration, and IRAD efforts. Danyel earned a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from UTD and a Master’s degree in Systems Engineering from Steven’s Institute of Technology. She has served as the Directory of Information for the North Texas INCOSE Chapter for 2023. In her free time, Danyel enjoys baking and spending time with her family.

Michelle Maddox, CSEP

Michelle Maddox is a Systems Engineer at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics who has worked multiple aircraft programs over the past 17 years. She has worked in the Aerospace industry for 30 years, and is a Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP). Ms. Maddox has extensive embedded system and software engineering experience that spans the software lifecycle including requirement development, software design, object-oriented analysis and design, software development, and testing, and deployment. She previously managed multi-million-dollar projects as a Control Account Manager, and she is the current INCOSE North Texas Chapter treasurer, serving since 2020. Ms. Maddox holds a B.S Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Missouri, and a M.S. Software Engineering degree from Southern Methodist University. She is passionate about mentoring and developing the next generation of engineering leaders!

Dawn Handley, CSEP

Dawn Handley is a Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) with 20 years of experience in the Aerospace industry. Dawn is the Senior Manager for the Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Competency team at Lockheed Martin. Dawn’s responsibilities include budget, tools, processes, workforce development and training for over 600 Systems Engineering employees. Dawn was in the Army Reserves for nine years as a Radio and TV Broadcaster and is a Veteran of Foreign War Operation Iraqi Freedom III. Dawn has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Southern Polytech (now Kennesaw State University) and a Masters Degree in Engineering Management from Drexel University.

Jerome Forbes, CSEP

Jerome Forbes is currently the Advanced Concepts & Technologies (ACT) Product Line System Assurance Lead for Raytheon Intelligence & Space. He has over 16 years of experience spanning requirements, CONOPS and architecture development, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing EOIR and Radar systems, FPGA firmware development, MBSE, production support, OCONUS system deployments, system integrity, and System Assurance. Jerome has held various other positions at various locations during his career such as Architecture Lead, IPT Lead, Technical Lead, Subsystem Architect, Software Requirements SE Lead, Systems Test Engineer, In-Country Engineering Lead, FPGA Firmware Designer, Production Support Engineer, SE Process Engineer and Project Coordinator.
Jerome previously served as the INCOSE North Texas chapter President Elect(2021), Vice President of Chapter Development for two terms (2020 and 2021), and Treasurer for two terms (2018 and 2019). He has been the INCOSE site ambassador for the Raytheon McKinney, TX site since 2017, hosting site monthly INCOSE chapter meetings.
Jerome is a Texas State Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.), an INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP), an OMG-Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP) – Model User, a Registered Product Owner, a Registered Scrum Master, Raytheon Program Management Level 6 certified, and The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) 9 certified.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics with a minor in Computer Science from Miles College, a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Tuskegee University and a master’s degree in Systems Engineering from Southern Methodist University. He is currently working toward a PhD in Electrical Engineering at Southern Methodist University.

Sarena
Gazic

Sarena Gazic is a Systems/Software Engineer and owner of SGGE, a consulting company she started in 2011. Her company sets up modeling environments, trains users in UML/SysML/UPDM, develops automation tools, and develops systems engineering products. Prior to that she worked for 3 major companies in the defense industry on most phases of the program lifecycle. She also is currently a direct for StraCon Services Group. She has over 20 years of model based engineering experience, including large programs with distributed users. She has a B.S. in Applied Mathematics with a Physics concentration.

Our Chapter Ambassadors hold a key role in the communication and outreach for the Chapter and INCOSE as a whole. They are a key asset in the communication plan between NTX and the community thru cross-networking.
